Concept of Royal Touch, Modernism
Royal Touch London recognises there is a gap in the market to offer not only products made from recyclable materials but also the very best, handcrafted sterling-silver everyday treasures to a socially aware and discerning consumer. There is a decline in artisans around the world
The carefully curated product range includes functional silverware gifts and christening gifts with a timeless appeal. The philosophy behind the Royal Touch London brand is to create designs, seamlessly blending elegance with utility, beauty with functionality. Made to treasure for life, designed for use today, tomorrow and forever.
At the heart of the brand exists a strong appreciation for artisanal skill and excellence, honouring a series of specialised and precious techniques, including traditional hand craftsmanship and Silversmithing for sterling silver based functional, everyday objects. Royal Touch London is proud to work with an exceptional pool of design talent from around the world.
The concept under-pinning Royal Touch London is one of modernism, inspired by an English painter and illustrator Jessica Stewart Dismorr. She lived in London and was one of the two women members of the short lived modernist movement Vorticism. The use of Silver and traditional artisanal techniques is a nod towards the nostalgic, while the collection of objects has ultimately been curated for modern use.
The name itself is steeped in rich historical significance. To receive a “Royal Touch” was to be offered hands on healing, regardless of social status, by the monarch. Blending these concepts of modernity, durability, functionality and eternal living, Royal Touch London was born.
